Man United could have been dealt a couple more injury blows, as two players picked up problems vs Brentford.

Manchester United put in arguably their worst performance of the season last time out. The Red Devils failed to back up an excellent display against Liverpool last time out and in the end, they were lucky to draw against Brentford on Saturday evening.

The game itself was all Brentford pressure. Ivan Toney led their line well, with the striker being helped out by his colleagues. They consistently gave United’s back line troubles.

It didn’t help that United were forced into some personnel changes throughout the game. Both Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof succumbed to apparent injuries, with the club now in ‘fear’ that the pair will need to spend some time out. Journalist Ryan Taylor provided the information.

The Reds are now left sweating on the fitness of both Varane and Lindelof, with two massive games against Chelsea and Liverpool coming up this week.

The Reds’ back line has consistently chopped and changed all season long. It’s no surprise they haven’t played well as a result. Lisandro Martinez and Harry Maguire, plus the two guys who picked up problems yesterday, have been in and out of the side all season.

United are lucky that Licha is now on the way back, as if both Varane and Lindelof aren’t ready to play this week, it could have been down to Willy Kambwala to be thrust into the limelight again.

At this stage, I majorly worry about Varane. He’s an incredible player. No doubt. However, he’s becoming a liability due to the fact he cannot complete 90 minutes more than once a week. Suddenly, I understand why the club would consider letting him leave this summer.

Do you think Man United should let Raphael Varane leave this summer? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
